Night Out with Friends

Misc. Girls

Just some miscellaneous photos of the girls.  The next two are on a morning when both girls let me do their hair while they watched a toon: Lilly in piggies, Abbey chose two French braids.

Peter took the next four shots while the girls took turns running up to him on the deck and hamming for the camera:

WrestleMania I (I took lots of photos of the girls wrestling, but this was the only one that kinda turned out):

Just a Regular Rainy Friday...

This past Friday was rainy, which was a welcome change from the 80 degree weather.  I was already getting tired of slathering sunscreen on the girls twice a day just to go outside! So, we ended up going to our favorite indoor play area, Catch Air, in the morning and Chik-Fil-A for lunch.  Once we returned home, Lilly took her nap and Abbey and I played "Salon": we painted our nails (she picked pink as the first layer and Christmas Glitter for the second coat…it actually looks cute! She applied my second coat and did a pretty decent job too), I curled her hair and put some makeup on her (just pretended with everything except the lip gloss), and then put on her party outfit and posed for some pictures.  She hammed it up for the camera, and called me "Stylist" (which came out "Stylish") when she spoke to me.

Once Lilly woke up from her nap, it was time for dinner, followed by the night's entertainment: our 50th viewing of "Tangled".  We had an awesome day!

America The Beautiful

Abbey recently had her first preschool program called "An American Celebration".  It was about the most adorable thing I have ever seen!  The kids walked in the auditorium with different themed costumes for each class; Abbey's class was "Friday Night Lights" with the girls dressed as cheerleaders and the boys dressed as football players.  After all of the kids were on stage, they sang songs like "Yankee Doodle" and "God Bless America", complete with hand motions to match what they were singing.  Abbey did a wonderful job, showed absolutely no stage fright, and clearly enjoyed being in the spotlight as you can see in the pictures of her walking down the aisle before her class took the stage!

GG and Great Grandma Elsa

We had another great springtime visit with GG and Great Grandma Elsa!  We had sunny weather, a thunder storm (with a tornado 10 minutes south!), and rain- the whole weather gamut while they visited!  Even with the storm and rain, it was still probably nicer than Spokane in early March :)

More Great Grandma snuggles:

We had an adventure to the Kids Museum in Atlanta.  Long story short, I don't think we'll take the MARTA until the kids are older and not napping :)

We had an awesome visit! Love you both very much!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We had some friends over for a St. Paddy's day playdate, and the kids decorated their own cupcakes :)
