DIMPLES!

Abbey's 2nd Birthday Bash!

Oh MY! Abbey is about to turn two years old, where does the time go? This past month has seemed like a blur, but I am so happy that we threw Abbey a party- she definitely knew the night was ALL about HER! A BIG THANK YOU to Teresa for helping us prepare practically everything, and to Jim for helping Peter complete the deck before we had a bunch of toddlers in our midst (even though it was too hot to go out on it) and to Tracy, for taking some wonderful pictures so I could mingle with our guests! In fact, I am posting a bunch because there are some real cute ones...

Grandma Teresa taking care of Lilly for me.

It wasn't long before Abbey decided to put on her tutu she got from Aunt Liz and Uncle JJ, but it's so funny because she always puts it on inside-out! I didn't think she'd keep it on very long, so you might notice she has a pair of jean shorts on underneath instead of the leggings it came with.

Playing pin the nose on Elmo...

Such pretty hazel eyes...

The one time we let them stop moving :)

Peter manning the grill- we had tons of hotdogs and brats!

Did I mention the party was Elmo themed?

Me and my girls...

I love kisses.

OK, I think everyone knows that Abbey did not enjoy her 1st birthday cake. Well, what a difference a year makes! She was all about her cake once she saw it, and got super excited when we sang Happy Birthday!

She was helping herself to too many tastes...

So I pushed it away.

Abbey did not like that.

She wouldn't stop talk ing about the cake, and of course would not eat dinner, so I cut her a piece of cake so she'd at least sit with us (and stop screaming CAKE! CAKE! CAKE!).

She knew we were singing just for her...

Abbey's birthday shirt progressively grew more blue as the cake eating progressed...and this is a picture of her shirt at the end of the evening. Well done Abbey! Made me think of "Die Hard" and Bruce Willis' white tank top...but this would be the G-rated version :)

Thanks to everyone who made Abbey's day special!
