A Visit from Uncle Luke!

We had an awesome visit with Uncle Luke! One of the highlights was a trip with the girls to the Aquarium.  They loved spending time with Uncle Luke; in fact, Lilly probably said "Uncle Luke" over 100 times when he was here.  She warmed up to him immediately, and Abbey did too, which is rare for the both of them.  Thank you for visiting Lukey!

Abbey didn't want to take a picture, so she is hiding…

Our Sweet Girls

The girls are having much more fun playing together now that Lilly can communicate.  She uses so many words already! These four pictures are of them playing in a puddle they created with a little teamwork.

Lilly is becoming quite the handful, but she is also balancing out her tantrums with a really sweet side of her personality.  Here she is checking out a new tunnel she got for Christmas.

She also enjoys playing with her helmet on. Safety first!

This particular evening she came over to me holding a "Dora" (what we call her pull-ups since they have Dora the Explorer on the front).  She insisted on me putting it on over her clothes, which was fine because she still had her diaper on anyway!

This is a picture I took while we were waiting in car pool for Abbey. Lilly had wrapped her blankie around her head like she always does when she is trying to fall asleep, and I realized I don't have a picture of her wrapped up like that.  Once I turned around to take the picture, she grabbed both of her socks simultaneously and pulled them off! I was very impressed!

Christmas Eve and Christmas

On Christmas Eve, I put together the girls' gift from GG, which was a new doll house. Pete and I had planned on placing Abbey's new bike, and Lilly's new quad, in front of the tree for the girls to see first thing once they came downstairs.  I knew if we put the doll house in front of the tree, they would just play with it all morning, so I decided to assemble it on the dining room table, hoping they wouldn't see it and it could be the "grand finale" of the morning.  Well, Abbey noticed it right away after waking up, and they each took turns playing with it all morning!

Abbey was still excited to see her new bike in front of the tree when she woke up!

Pete and his girls--our best "family shot" of the morning, just minus mom :)

Believe it or not, this was our best family shot!
