For the Frankie Haters...She's a Good Kitty!

Frankie really never leaves our side during the day, as you can see here. Abbey was "petting" Frankie "gently" with her toys, and Frankie, as usual, took as much as she could before putting some distance between her and Abbey. The funny thing is the distance is always just a couple of feet, and Abbey will follow nowadays (check out the video I took at the end of the pictures on the youtube site!).

Summer in Spokane

Peter, Abbey and I flew into Spokane on July 3rd and immediately relished the absence of humidity that we have grown accustomed to in Tulsa and now Atlanta. The first weekend in town we stayed with my dad, but that didn't mean we stayed put...I have tried to break-down our trip by some (not all, Abbey doesn't take naps for an entire day...) of the activities we went to and, of course, captured on film.

4th of July Parties
Since we always have way too much to do on "vacation" in Spokane, it seemed fitting that our first full day in town should be spent driving to the Northside to Peter's uncle's home for a Gay Family party, and then over to the Galloway's home for a 60th Birthday and 80th Birthday party bash for my dad and Gma Shirley. I only kid, since it is always so great to see everyone!

Dinner at Luke and Margarets was on our Sunday itinerary, and again we were able to see some more of the Bakken's as well as the Gay's: Jon, Jen and Grace joined us, along with my Uncle Jeff.

The next couple of days we spent with my mom at my Gma Elsa's home in Liberty Lake. One highlight, other than more good food and visiting, was our trip to the splash pad where Abbey played in the water until she shivered!

Next we traveled to the Palouse to stay with Liz, JJ and Avery. While we were there we got to see our good friends the Carrizales' and also have my friend Robin up for dinner, of which sadly there is no picture since we typically always forget to take one (BUT there is a video on my youtube channel!).

Our last stop on the Spokane tour was a stay with Gma and Gpa Gay. They hosted a fun family party on Friday night, and again it was fantastic to have an additional opportunity to see everybody! Our last night in town Abbey enjoyed playing in a tiny tub for almost an hour while the adults sat and enjoyed one last moments peace before having to pack and head back to Atlanta.

p.s. Thank you to Aunt Pam for sending me some pictures as I have used some of hers to supplement mine...I was not as good at taking my camera out all the time this trip!
